In recent years, the Blue Bay Resort on Curaçao has created an open-air museum by establishing a sculpture route and garden on its grounds. All the artworks in this project are created by local artists. The Sculpture Garden & Art Route showcases an impressive collection of work by internationally renowned artists inspired by the colors and atmosphere of Curaçao. The sculptures are made from a variety of locally sourced materials. Entry to the Sculpture Garden & Art Route is free at the entrance of Blue Bay Golf & Resort.

Casa Amalia

Amalia is an elegant Curaçaoan figure. The 'Amalia' concrete sculptures and ceramic clay figurines are handmade by local entrepreneur and artist Haitham Metry. The concrete sculptures are named Amalia, with a second name honoring a woman who has been influential in Haitham’s life. His guesthouse, also called 'Amalia' (or Casa Amalia), is where all Amalia art is created. The courtyard is adorned with the concrete sculptures, while the smaller figurines are displayed indoors alongside paintings by other local artists.

Fort Church

The Fort Church is the oldest church on the island (1769), located within the walls of Fort Amsterdam. Inside, you’ll find a charming museum displaying items from the Dutch Protestant congregation (dating back to 1635), including antique silver chalices, a mahogany and silver baptismal font, and a mahogany Bible table previously used in landhouses. The museum also features records of prominent Curaçao families and a collection of old maps.
