Vista Royal has experienced significant growth in recent years and has become the most popular area for vacation homes, so we’ll cover this neighborhood separately. Since 2006, the plots in Vista Royal were gradually purchased and developed. Over the past five years, there has been a massive demand for empty plots, which are now almost impossible to find. This is a bonus for residents and tourists, as nobody wants construction noise during their vacation.

Vista Royal boasts truly stunning homes. As is common in Curaçao, various architectural styles coexist in the area. When you enter Vista Royal, there is essentially one main road that starts at the Caracasbaai roundabout and leads directly to Jan Thiel Beach. From this main road, there are several side streets leading to inner areas.

At the end of the main road, just before the beach, you’ll find a large supermarket: Van der Tweel. The address is Kaya Adriatiko z/n, Willemstad, Curaçao. Van der Tweel is essentially an Albert Heijn, with a nearly identical product range and the same branding. This familiarity makes it a favorite among Dutch visitors for grocery shopping.
