The Real Estate Agency on Curacao tells: On Curaçao you have several primary schools. The education system is broadly comparable to the system in the Netherlands. Your child can go on Curaçao to daycare, preschool, primary school and then to secondary school (VMBO, Havo/VWO). There is also a great International School for education in English.
Schools on Curacao start early, somewhere between 7:15 AM and 8:00 AM. Therefore, the children are free every afternoon, usually somewhere between 12.30 and 13.00. Apart from private schools, it is still quite common to go to school in uniform. This can be in prescribed clothing that can be bought through school, but often the requirements are a bit more flexible and the children wear jeans with a polo shirt with the logo of their school. Bring your children’s school reports with you and also a statement from the director/rector of the school stating that your child has attended classes there.

The Marnix School welcomes about 700 students every day. It is a Protestant Christian school. They believe it is important to teach children that there is a God who loves them. They take time in the classroom to read the Bible with the children, explain what is meant, pray and sing together. They offer Dutch language education with great EFO results. They also have a computer room and a nice library. They have a toddler group where your child from 2.5 years can go. There is also an after school program that offers a fun and educational program every day and during the vacations.

The Dr. Albert Schweizer School has about 800 children from different cultural backgrounds. The school has Dutch as the language of instruction and is located in the middle of the densely populated district of Salina. M.M Romer school
The M.M Römerschool is a Public school for elementary education from the age of 4 years. THE school has been in existence since 1975. The education is arranged in such a way that the children can go through the school in eight consecutive years. The school teaches about 500 students divided into 16 classes. Private schools
Pipita (in the district Jongbloed) is a small school with about 4 classes, and per class 2 groups. Because there are about 12 to 14 places per group (so an average of 20 to 25 children per class), the chance of getting a place is not very big. Every year a few children leave (back to the Netherlands), but you have to be lucky.

Klein College
Klein College is open to all students, regardless of religion, belief or philosophy. Klein College follows the Dutch educational system. Besides primary education, Klein college offers after-school care at our kids club from Monday to Friday from 12:30 to 18:00.
